Works Great and light last thru night . Just wish had larger foam filter. Nearly daily requirement to clean to keep fountain height at peak
I swapped a smaller capacity solar fountain on my patio for this one a few weeks ago. Thought the lights might be a little...silly...but enough power is stored in a charge that the pump runs most of the night and the lights add a little something extra to the patio. There are lots of spray attachment/extender options--just have to try them. The only concern I had is that the cord for the light is very short, and that limits how the fountain may be set up(I'd hoped it was long enough for the pump to be under the decorative part of my fountain set up, and the lights on top)but again I tried a couple of arrangements and have something that works fine. The hummingbirds are enjoying it greatly!
Needed an agitator to keep the bugs away from the bird bath and this is perfect! Gives the calming effect of trickling water and is pretty to look at after dark also.
This fountain is super easy to put together. The instuctions are mostly pictures. I put it in a bird bath, which seems to be just about the right size. It could go in a slightly larger container, too. It is very light and with the float attached, it will float to the side that the wind pushes it. Simple fix - I put some rocks around the pump and a few on the float. It stays in one place, perfectly. The pump will immediately start pumping when the solar panels see the sun. It took about 30 minutes for the pump to get primed and start to flow at full speed. Even with just having the panel in the sun for about a half day, it kept running for a few hours our first night. The little lights are very cute.
