Product FAQs
Our solar fountains are designed for animal baths, waterfalls, ponds, hydroponics, garden decorations, and more. The right pump depends on its intended use, your location, and the required water flow. We offer a wide range of solar pumps in various wattages; you can select the right one based on our product testing results.
It works in cloudy weather, but the power supply becomes weak, and the spraying height and flow rate will be reduced. If trees or shadows block part of the panel, the spraying effect will also diminish. When the panel is completely blocked, the fountain will not work efficiently. It works best when facing direct sunlight.
We offer both types:
With Battery Backup: Stores energy when sunlight is available and releases it when there is no sun, ensuring continuous operation.
Without Battery Backup: It works in cloudy conditions, but the spraying effect is weaker, and it stops working without sunlight.
You can explore models with battery backup on our website.
The 10W/15W/12W/20W/25W pumps come with a 16.5ft (5m) cord, while the 6W/7W models have a 10ft (3m) cord. Additional 10ft (3m) extension cords are available separately. You can find more details on our website.
Yes, you can connect a garden hose to the solar water pump using the 1/2" or 3/8" outlet. Some models include a 6.6ft hose, but you can also purchase tubing separately.
The pump needs to be submerged in at least 2 inches of water, but the nozzle should remain above the water surface. If your pond is deeper than 16 inches, you can place a stone or frame at the bottom to reduce the depth and raise the nozzle slightly above the water.
New models (released in February 2023) have dry-run protection. If the sensors are not covered by water, the pump will automatically shut off and restart when the water level rises. Older models without dry-run protection may be damaged if run dry.
