P3253 25W 320GPH Solar Pond Filter Fountain

This solar pump is well made and uses quality materials. I did a test run on it and the solar panel works great, as does the pump. However, the ad never stated the pump flow/filter capacity. Looking at the pump output, this is probably meant for a small above ground pond, perhaps 300 gallons. I am going to give it a try on my in ground pond, but I am unsure if the capacity is enough, even with the pump running all throughout the day.The pump itself is very quiet, but unfortunately, it only works with full sunlight. I hoped it had a battery backup that could charge and run in the dark hours, but it does not. However, I can probably run a backup filter in the evening.

Updated - shortly after I posted this the company did reach out and they sent me a battery pack. That battery pack made a world of difference. With limited sunlight this pump ran for hours battery pack is definitely what’si ordered this for my pond. I liked the fact that it has a filter to help keep the algae and debris at bay. I also ordered this as it's solar and thought it would be perfect for the location. The solar panel is HUGE so I thought this would work even on a slightly cloudy day. But no luck. This panel can't have any part in a shadow or else it does not work. it was a beautiful sunny day and a corner was shadowed and it stopped working. This might be a 5 star product in other states or areas but where I live we don't have sun all the time

Setting up this pond fountain was a breeze, and once powered, the bubble fountain effect is genuinely quite lovely and the pump runs smoothly. It definitely adds a nice visual element to the pond.However, there are a couple of things to be aware of. The model I received did not include a battery backup, which seems like an essential addition for consistent operation, especially on partly cloudy days.The solar panel is also notably sensitive to shade. Even a small shadow passing over it will cause the pump to stop, which could be frustrating if your pond area isn't consistently in full sun.Finally, be sure to have some extra weight on hand to anchor the fountain. As mentioned in the manual, the included filter media alone isn't sufficient to keep it in place, so adding gravel or other rocks will be necessary to prevent it from drifting.

Nice pump with a huge solar panel. It pumps plenty of water. I was surprised at all of the filter material. Now I have to step up my water feature to fit the pump's capability

This is a nice solar powered pump that's doing a good job of aerating our small pond. It's also nice to see and hear that water splashing.I like that it's a good size pump and that it has an exterior housing which keeps leaves and large debris from clogging things up.
