Looks great. Nice soft waterfall sound. Pump works great. Been running for a month straight with zero issues.

The shelf is separate from the bucket, so you need to silicone it together. That is included. I tried without doing that, and it leaks. So be sure to secure the two pieces together.

I needed to PVC glue my pipes to the fittings, because they weren't snug and kept popping off when first setting it up. No biggie, glued up, and no issues.

Just got it looks good so far will update later. Will eventually make it look better by the pond just testing it out for now.

Most spillways don't come with anything. You are usually left on your own to figure out what other parts you need. That can be a challenge for first time installers. I remember my first time. I was clueless about what type of pump to buy, what kind of hose and how to connect everything. The answers were hard to find. But as time progressed a little, I built up my own pond supply box that came with the knowledge of how to use everything. I also learned that most pumps work fine until you need the water lifted higher. That is when the stronger more expensive pumps come in. In this set, you get the spillway, pump and hose. And instructions I might add.

The hose, by the way is nice. It is bendable and not full of strong odors that I've witnessed in other hoses.

The pump is nice too and it comes with a net bag. If you have fish, or intend to have fish, be sure to use the net bag. Don't learn the hard way about how your fish can die from the pump. The other benefit to the netted bag is that you shouldn't have to fish your pump out of the water ever two weeks when it stops working due to the accumulated algae clogging it. I think it was very thoughtful of this company to include a net bag.

Explained in the product video, you will see that some glue or sticky black goo should be applied to the grooves when attaching the two spillway parts. Be Careful with this step. All I can say is it's better to get this step right on the first shot. Attach the pieces first without the goop and look carefully at how they should align. After I applied my goo, (remove the cap and put it back on upside down to puncture the tube) I tapped mine flush into place using a rubber mallet and then I set it aside afterwards to see if it would dry. I hope that on the next model, the pieces come already welded together. I considered removing a star for this messy step especially since the two seperate pieces can create an opportunity for future leakage. But I realized that the convenience of this complete kit is a very important feature. If my spillway becomes a problem because of the two joined pieces, I will certainly return and update my review to reflect that.

I like that the composition is metal. It will support pieces of flagstone that can be used to camouflage it. In my set up, I just grabbed a few rocks, branches and tiny logs and layed them across the top. There was no balancing act to perform and I even plopped a fat rock inside it to help weigh it down.

I think this simple spillway is a good choice because it does not have any place for leaves or pond debris to get stuck or create clogs. I chose non solar because this is an important pump and I want it to work nonstop. I don't want to worry about the sun not coming out or the sun moving out of range. I've got fish and I don't want to give mosquitos a chance and I just want to hear the waterfall always. I think it's healthier for my pond as well. If you are putting together a spillway for the first time, I'm sure you will appreciate this convenient set.

The waterfall system I ordered is made from 304 stainless steel, this should keep it from rusting out. I feel it's an exceptional deal since it comes with the waterfall box. Water flow is excellent and It looks awesome.

The only installation challenge with this is adapting to your own specific application.

The device itself arrives ready to go. Just drop in the water and plug in the pump. Everything is pretty much pre-assembled, even the hose arrived attached.

They don't disclose the power of the pump, but I believe it's a 1/10 HP or a 1/12 HP.

It only consumes 60 watts, which makes it energy efficient.

Even though the pump is small in terms of wattage, it comes out with force, and is more than enough to power a 12 inch wide waterfall. And, the speed is adjustable.

The hose is just shy of 10 feet long, and the pump can lift water about 8.5 feet vertically. You can shorten the hose if you want just by cutting it. And you can lengthen the hose too, if you need to, just as long as you're adding horizontal length not vertical length.
