Our solar fountains are designed for animal baths, waterfalls, ponds, hydroponics, garden
decoration and more. Choosing the right pump depends on what you want to use it for, where you live, and what you need for water flow. We have a wide range of solar water pump in different wattages, you can choose the right solar pump for you based on the results of our tests.
It works in cloudy weather, but the power supply becomes weak and the spraying height
and flow rate will be reduced. In addition, if trees or your own shadows block part of the panels, the spraying effect will be reduced. If the energy panel is completely blocked, the power supply will be insufficient and the solar water fountain will be almost ineffective. It works best when facing the sun.
We have solar fountains with and without battery back-up
1. Solar water pump with battery backup stores electricity when the sun is sufficient, and
releases electricity when there is no sun, so that the solar water pump continues to work and works well.

yes, you can connect the pvc tubing to creat the water features, some of our models come with the tubing or you could buy the tubing separately. The solar water fountain comes with a 1/2" threaded outlet, also a 3/8" slip outlet for you to connect the tubing for multiple water features.
The pump needs to be cleaned regularly to avoid clogging with dust and stopping work.
The pump is detachable for cleaning (suggest once a week)，follow up is the steps：
1) Disconnect the pump.
2) Pull the filter housing along with foam fitter apart from the pump body.
3) Wash internal including foam filter to remove the debris, as well as cleaning dirt from the two probe sensor on the back cover.
4) Assemble back the front/back cover and foam filter after cleaning.
5) Connect the pump.
Please check the possible failures listed below.)
1. Make sure the solar panel is exposed in direct sunlight, no shadow. It is best to face the sun;
2. The pump may be blocked by dirt, disassemble the pump to clean the filter in the front cover and the two probe sensor on the back cover.
3. Make sure there is enough water so that the pump can fall completely underwater and the nozzle is above water;
4. Try to disconnect the solar panel and re- connect to activate the pump;
5. Pump does operate but there is no water running through the tubes: check if the flow control valve is on the shut-off position or clean the tube and the filter to make sure the tube is through completely;
6. Check the nozzle is connected tight; Check if the cord is broken.

Firstly, place the solar panel facing south; Secondly, at an angle of about 30-45 degrees to

For the application of creating a small spraying up fountain, please follow the steps
below:
a) Put together a proper number of extension tubes as per the water depth and top it with your preferable fountain nozzle. Mount the assembled tubes topped with a nozzle on the pump outlet.
b) Fix the pump at the base of a basin or bottom of a small shallow pond etc..
c) It is best to keep the pump off the pond base to avoid drawing the pond waste into the pump, which will lead to blockage in the pump. Use a brick or similar to elevate the pump.
d) In the case of volcano fountain head, to maximize the fountain spout height, make sure a proper number of the enclosed extension tubes are used to lift the fountain head just above the water surface, fountain head setting far above the water will shorten the visible part of fountain spout.
e) In the case of apple shaped fountain head, the fountain nozzle should be lifted to a
position above the water surface far enough to allow an ideal apple shaped fountain. To have your preferable apple size, adjust the water discharge gap by pressing or lifting the nozzle top piece. The larger the discharge gap, the smaller the apple sphere.
Please clean the pump following the steps below
1) Disconnect the pump.
2) Pull the filter housing along with foam fitter apart from the pump body.

4) Assemble back foam filter and the front/backcover after cleaning.
5) Connect the pump.

The solar water pump needs to be completely submerged when in use, the water depth of at least 2 inches, but the head needs to be above the water. The height from the pump bottom to the spray head is 16.5 inches. If your pond depth is more than 16 inches, you can put a stone, frame or other object on the botton of the pond to reduce the depth, and placed the pump on it to raise the sprinkler head a bit more out of the water.
We have many different wattage solar fountains:
12W, flow rate: 160GPH=605L/H, max spray height: 4.9FT when the sun is full ;
20W, 320GPH=1210L/H, 7.5FT;
25W, 410GPH=1550L/H, 8.6FT;
6W/10W/15W, max spray height: 2.6FT;
Our solar pond pump outlet is 1/2'' or 3/8'', you can match the water pipe to make a water circulation system, such as waterfall, hydroponics, etc. Some of our models come with a 6.6FT water pipe. You can choose according to your needs.
Our new pumps (released February 2023) are now all dry-run protected. If either of the two sensors are not covered by water the pump will shut off and remain off until the water level rises to cover both sensors again.
Our first-generation water pumps are not dry run protected (if you purchased before February 2023).
Therefore, if the pump runs dry for any amount of time, it is subject to failure. Be careful not let too much water evaporate from shallow fountains, pools, etc.
Attention：the 12W/20W/25W will cancle the dry-run protection founction on April.
