The previous article of making a solar fountain has received a lot of attention. This time, at everyone's request, I decided to upgrade it. The first change is the color. I chose lavender because Dwayne particularly likes purple, and this color will surely add a lot of romantic atmosphere to the garden. I chose Rustoleum's paint and primer, which is very convenient to use and has a good covering effect. It can be bought at Home Depot or Amazon. After spraying the paint, the fountain, which was originally a little light green, gradually turned into a dreamy lavender. The top plate is dark purple, and paired with beautiful crystal stones, the appearance has risen sharply.

In addition to color, I have also put a lot of effort in other aspects. In order to make the fountain shine at night, I installed solar lights inside. These lights absorb sunlight during the day and can change different colors to emit light at night. At the same time, I also prepared two small spotlights to illuminate the solar panels at night, hoping that this would allow the fountain to operate normally at night.

Addressing Challenges and Optimizing Performance

During the installation process, I also encountered some minor problems. For example, the last time the solar fountain had parts sliding, this time I first fixed it on the edge with hot melt glue, and then planned to use silicone to further reinforce it to ensure that it is stable. The drainage has also been optimized. I used a wood burner to drill holes from the bottom, and punched at least 50 holes to ensure that the water can be discharged smoothly. After all, the new 6.5W water pump has great power and super water output capacity. I can imagine the scene of birds playing happily by the fountain.

The new water pump also comes with two additional filters, which can effectively keep the water clean. When connecting the water pump and various components, Dwayne and I studied and tried repeatedly, and finally found the most suitable installation method. Although there were occasional small episodes during the installation process, such as a small mistake when connecting the hose at the beginning, fortunately they were all solved smoothly.

The Exciting Testing Moment

After everything was ready, the exciting testing moment came. Dwayne plugged in the power and watched the water flow slowly spray out. Although it did not achieve the overly strong effect of the last time he tried the nozzle, this is exactly what we want, so as to prevent the water from running out quickly. At present, there is no water in the daytime test, which may be because it started late and the battery charging time is not enough, but the lighting effect in the garden is already very good.
